 Chinese divorce rates have been steadily rising over the past decade, last year alone, 3.5 million couples got divorced. Rejoice, is actually a brand of hair care products that has gained high recognition by Chinese consumers. Beyond quality products, this brand stands for much more than just shampoo and has become an emotional symbol for love and a better life. They created this ad to encourage China’s divorcing couples to believe in love again. In this short film a husband asks his wife for a divorce, instead of signing the divorce papers this wife has one last request, a hug once a day for a month.
Rejoice believes that no matter how complicated the relationship is there is always a way to “smooth” things up.
